I am a dedicated Physical Therapist with over 10 years of experience in managing diverse patient caseloads. I am very extroverted and skilled in effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring optimal care and improved patient satisfaction through personalized treatment strategies. I started my career in a rehab setting after graduation and moved into a regional hospital acute care setting while out in Great Falls, MT. Upon having children, my husband and I returned to MN to be closer to family and I began working prn to keep up my license during the 7 years I stayed at home to care for my young children. Upon them going to kindergarten, I began to work more part-time and was called to go to the Iron Range to service the geriatric population of northern MN. Being from Int'l Falls, these facilities have felt like home to me. I have a genuine care for the well being of my patients, as well as maintaining a positive work environment, and strive to have good/comfortable rapport with every person I interact with in order to build a positive and beneficial working relationship. For the past 6 years, I have been the primary PT overseeing 2 skilled nursing facilities on the Iron Range with roughly 80+ beds and a variable caseload of 30-50 patients at a given time. The patient caseload ranges from orthopedic (short term rehabilitation) to dementia (long term care). I've been responsible for completing evaluations, recertifications, progress reports, and 6th visits at these facilities and have collaborated with discharge planning. I truly love working with the geriatric population and find great joy in helping this demographic to improve their independence and safety awareness in order to achieve their highest possible quality of life.
