Assessing patients prior to surgery

• Assessing patients prior to surgery, starting the IVs, interpreting the lab values and EKGs to determine if the patient is fit for surgery and recognizing any emergent abnormal results or arrhythmias.
• Taking care of the postop Cath lab patient which includes removing the arterial sheath and assessing for any cardiac or bleeding emergencies and intervening immediately to correct

• Administered Emergency Nursing care for all age and acuity levels and the skills to intervene appropriately.
• Skills in Meditech and Paper charting

• TNCC, PALS, ACLS and BLS certifications
