Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is a career and technical student organization for students planning to pursue health professions.  It is endorsed by the U.S department of Education and the Health Science Technology Education Division of ACTE. The primary purpose of HOSA is to empower health science education students to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience, enhancing the quality of healthcare delivered by promoting leadership, professionalism, and career opportunities in the field.  In 2010 I competed in the competition for First Aid/ CPR and received 3rd place in the state of West Virginia and 22nd in the national competition Orlando, FL.
