Experience in working with those with Special Needs

I have two younger sisters with Down Syndrome and have spent my life learning from them and what they have to offer. I have also taught many students with special needs. It has helped me look at people and relationships in a more open minded way, searching for the strengths and abilities of what they have to offer. And in return, what I can offer and how I can work with, support, and learn from others. Working with people with special needs at home and outside the home has helped me build strong relationships, learn communications skills, and develop skills in patience and optimism.
