the UH-60 not only requires technical expertise but also strong problem-solving skills and the ability to

Perform inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on assigned aircraft to include

pre-inspection, daily inspection, pre- and post-flight inspections and special inspections, and oil samples.

Conducts checks on hydraulic, electrical, transmission, power systems. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and

perform unscheduled maintenance on assigned and transient aircraft. Perform the full range of repair and

testing on aircraft systems, assemblies, and surfaces. Using a variety of methods involving test equipment,

visual checks and instruments, diagnoses and identifies problem areas and determines the extent of

repairs required. Remove components and assemblies, repair or replace defective parts and components

and reassemble repaired items into the aircraft. Install, align, and make needed adjustments to major

components and assemblies such as engines, propeller/rotors, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.

Conducts ground functional tests of all aircraft systems. Service aircraft with oil, fuel, and hydraulic fluid.

Perform inspections prior to takeoff. Inspect for conditions such as oil, fuel, and hydraulic leaks, cut lines,

tires and loose panels.
