Being the Park Administrator I was the park manager for the entire Visitor Center. In this role I was the first person the guests would come to with questions or concerns. I provided excellent customer service to ensure needs were met in all aspects of the job. I supervised all seasonal employees, including the seasonal clerk and our seasonal volunteers. I created the schedules of seasonal employees to best fit the park needs. Did their time sheets and entered their volunteer hours. I also was in charge of recruiting and conducting interviews for our seasonal staff and volunteers and having the appropriate accommodations for their stay through the season. I managed all reservations throughout the park through the Aspira reservation website, and created new profiles for our volunteers to ensure information was correct and relevent. I worked very closely with the Marina owner, inspection stations, law enforcement, and other partners with the park to make sure all needs were met. My organization skills and attention to detail furthered improved through this role due to handling all money going through the park services. I counted and audit every transaction daily and provided the report to the state of the weekly revenue and made the bank deposit of the revenue earned. I trained all seasonal employees on money handling, customer service, and policies to provide exceptional care for the park. Responsibilities also included maintaining OSHA standards in cleaning and safety of the facility, making supply orders to provide the needs of the staff and visitors, and being trained in basic first aid and CPR in case an emergency arises. Emergencies did happened and this allowed me to further my experience in how to handle the stress and fast pace of any situation. State Parks had specialized computer programs and documents needed to complete this job, this allowed me to adapt and learn all platforms on computer systems including different payment types, data entry, report logs, and also to collaborate with our other partners working within the park. Being a seasonal clerk was a huge change in pace with both customer service and money handling. Navajo Lake is one of the biggest lakes in New Mexico, do to that the amount of visitation a day was more than any park in the state. I was the in the entrance booth daily taking payments with cash, credit card, and checks making sure each visitor was complying with state park regulations. While in the booth I would answer any questions regarding daily activities provided in the park or camping accommodations. Having great customer service helped provide the best for each individual to have their needs met. While in the Visitor Center I would provide the same great service while also selling annual passes. Having such a high number of visitation, origination and knowing policies was crucial. Every day I would audit all transactions from the entrance station, visitor center, and self pay stations to ensure all money was correct and accounted for. I also maintained OHSA standards in cleaning and safety through the Visitor center and entrance booth.
Being a Veterinary Technician at San Juan Veterinary Hospital made my skills improve dramatically. This clinic was declared one of the top three clinics in the nation and expected immaculate customer service and skill set to provide the best service to our clients and their pets. I was interacting with clients constantly over the phone or in person for emergency situations, treatments, checkups, prescription refills, transactions, scheduling appointments or surgeries, or advice for their animals. Being able to adapt to any situation and pace helped me thrive in this role. I would be the first interaction with the clients and their pets to relay all information to the doctor to create the best course of action for each specific situation presented. Attention to detail and organization was essential in all I did. To speaking with clients, handling animals, providing treatments, assisting in surgeries, running anesthesia, providing triage for patients, filling prescriptions, and providing correct information there was no room for error. I maintained OSHAS cleaning and sterilization standards and protocols in all areas. Operated computer systems for data entry on patients to keep information updated, records of aliments, treatments, procedures, medications, doctor notes. We provide fine dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a full bar, full 18-hole golf course, and areas for any event the guest would book. I provided professional refined service in all areas to meet the guests array of needs. Customer service was important due to the guests being constant. Learning names and preferences were expected and being more personable was encouraged. Expanding my knowledge of fine dining etiquette helped me excel at my job. Menus items changed daily, requiring me to memorize items and ingredients to meet the preferences of the all the guests. Attention to detail and organization was in all aspects from, table settings, polishing glasses and utensils, event set ups such as wedding, all needed to give the guest the best experience possible. I was in charge of all table set up for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Serving all guests for all meals throughout the day. Special events I was the sole server and was expected to provide all preferences and tasks asked of the guests. Keeping all areas cleaned and tidy, from dining areas to the back workspace and storage. Managing the bar which included making and serving all drinks and providing food service. Establishing myself with the necessary skill set I also trained new employees of management and wait staff and kept them to the standard of fine dining and professionalism required in an establishment and this capacity. Another task was providing service on the golf course as a Cart Girl. While guests were out golfing, we would drive around and provide a full service of drinks and snacks to the guests. This was different than the formal dining but still demanding to deliver great service without interrupting the game. Money handling in this job was very tedious. Some transactions went straight to the guests account of the club and ensuring it was made to the correct guest was important. Other times while on the cart you are handling and managing hundreds of dollars at a time. The responsibility of making sure all transactions, change made, and tips were correct reflected my organization and attention to detail a highlight in this position.
I worked for Direct TV as a customer service representative and diagnostic technician. Clients would call in for information, updates to service, or troubleshooting. Learning all the programs designed for their service and equipment was extensive. Multitasking was essential for this job.
