My first year of sail Caribbean as a camper on the tango program affirmed my interest and love for all things ocean related, Ever since I have been involved in all things water related, sailing, scuba, and marine bio.   In highschool, During a two-week intersession course at Mote Marine Lab in Florida, I was given the amazing opportunity to work with scientists to restore diverse coral types that are able to withstand Stony Coral Disease and other environmental impacts. I worked in the underwater coral nurseries to study as well as monitor the coral and learned that the reason the Florida Reefs are dying is due to human impact.  This trip has made me extremely conscious of my impact on the environment.
