As a school psychology intern I have gained advance knowledge and skills in the field of psychology and want to expand and continue to progress in, specifically in the context of education. I have honed my abilities to assess and evaluate student behaviors, assisted in identifying characteristics of specific learning disabilities, and assisted in providing appropriate interventions and counseling services, especially throughout my coursework. Also throughout my internship, coursework, and current job I have learned to collaborate effectively with many individuals from diverse background including teachers and parents in order to develop comprehensive plans for students success. Throughout my life experiences, working with many different people from different cultural backgrounds, engaging in my coursework, and hands-on experience within my interniship I am poised to make a positive impact in the lives of school-aged children and their families.
