Brooke DelGaudio

• Serve as the primary wound and ostomy care provider for the entire organization, managing a diverse patient population with complex and chronic wounds.
• Provide advanced care for venous, arterial, diabetic, and surgical wounds, including obstetric complications such as post-cesarean infections.
• Independently develop and manage comprehensive treatment plans, order and interpret labs and imaging, and coordinate multidisciplinary care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Act as a clinical resource for staff, delivering education and support on wound and ostomy best practices and product usage.
• Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative ostomy education to patients and families, including pouching techniques, troubleshooting, lifestyle adaptations, and emotional support.
• Extensive experience with a wide range of wound and ostomy care products, including selection, application, product evaluation, and vendor collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Surgical Nurse:

Duties Required

• Daily assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluation of surgical/bariatric patients
• Working side-by-side with surgeons to create plan of care for Patients
• Encourage positive attitudes and team moral with staff
• Acquired vast knowledge for various surgical procedures including plan of care, post-op complications, and educational needs for discharge
• Bariatric teaching as Certified Bariatric Nurse, postop care, and discharge planning for specific diet

Wound-Ostomy Nurse:

• CWOCN
• Acute hospital wound and ostomy care of ICU, Medical & Surgical, Mother/baby and Emergency Department patients
• Independent ordering under supervision of surgeon for wound care recommendations
• Directly work with surgeons, surgical residents, and hospitalists for wound management, education and discharge planning.
• Post-Op Surgical management: Fistula management, NPWT including Veraflow, Abdominal and Ortho incisional infections, BKA/AKA management/infections, Ostomy care/education, skin subs, enzymes, dressing selection, debridement

Duties Required

• Floating to 7 floors throughout acute hospital, including Cardiovascular Step Down unit, and Oncology
• Daily assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluation including a wide array of acute patients
• Working with staff to create patient safety, and satisfaction
• Extreme flexibility for scheduling, and willingness to learn different specialties

Duties required

• Daily assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluation of patients
• Initiating Care plans based on doctors admitting diagnosis, and nursing assessment
• Medication administration with knowledge of side effects and adverse reactions
• Work with ICU and ED for continuity of care
• Established patient education on admission and discharge on medications, plan of care, psycho-social and cultural considerations
• Therapeutic communication to encourage questions and concerns
  Caring for Age 10 and above for Minor procedures

Floor Nurse

• Organizing Care, Medications, Treatments, Wound care and setting up hospice and end of life services for 50 Long Term Residents
  

House Supervisor

• Overseeing of all staffing, nursing related, and patient related issues
