Recruitment Specialist /Administrative Coordinator

  • Worked remotely for a Joint Commission certified start-up Travel Nursing agency as the main full-cycle Recruitment Specialist, Assistant Credentialer, and later Administrative Coordinator.
  • Promptly corresponded with all qualified applicants and conducted phone screens or email interviews and met all required metrics (performance goals) while doing so.
  • Generated specific candidate pool for career opportunities through strategic placement of advertisements, evaluation of applicant credentials, and conducting initial interviews and pre-screening assessments.
  • Leveraged social media platforms and online job boards to advertise open positions and engage with potential candidates. I was in charge of monitoring and updating all social media platforms and forums in hopes of connecting with nurses on a personal level.
  • Created "pay packages" for each nurse who was interested in applying to an employer based on their provided bill rate from the hospital and our fee, making sure to account for state tax, federal tax, and stipends that vary between each US state and city.
  • Maintained a professional relationship with all nurses that we had signed throughout the duration of their assignment via phone, text, and email and assisted with all problem solving if any issues or concerns would arise.
  • Corresponded with all nurses that have been interviewed but had not yet found employment by procuring a daily list of all open employment opportunities until employment was secured. I gained a very detailed knowledge of United States geography by having to follow strict criteria from nurses who were only willing to travel a set amount of miles from home.
  • Gained extensive knowledge of all nursing specialties and diagnostic imaging specialties. I had to be well versed in all medical terminology, medical abbreviations, specific hospitals and facilities, and the exact experience that was required for each specialty when reviewing resumes in order to choose quality candidates.
  • Gained knowledge of what licensure and qualifications were needed for a nurse to be employed in a specific state for each specific position and exactly how long those certifications/health documents were valid before they would need to be renewed.
  • Ran criminal and government background checks on potential employees, scheduled drug screens and occupational health screens, and ran licensure and certifications listed on their resume for reach potential employee for verification.
  • Set up and assigned online competency testing exams for each nurse based on their specialty and the specific needs of their facility prior to starting their assignment, and interpreted each exam to determine if the exam would need to be taken again based on the score.
  • Assisted our credentialing department by reviewing the applicant's medical documents and licensure in accordance with the specific facility's compliance guidelines.
  • Supported management in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures for both internal and external employees.
  • Explained human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations to each hired external employee.
  • Hired external employees and initiated new hire paperwork process. Used an HR software to set up signature templates and to request signatures via email for all onboarding documents.

  • Acted as a personal assistant to the CEO by scheduling all appointments on his calendar and notifying him each morning of important meetings and deadlines.
  • Conducted all administrative work such as running payroll, sending paystubs, paying company invoices via our checkbook, going to our PO Box weekly to retrieve and scan in mail to be sent to our CEO, mailing in tax documents and payments, collecting all documents and invoices and uploaded them to our Google Drive, making sure we had all documents accounted for in order to remain legally Joint compliant, downloading metrics from our website to monitor our traffic progress, monitoring our website and forum, writing blog posts for our forum and blog, creating new Trello boards monthly in order to keep track of every nurse that was recruited, and ran any errands that needed to be ran for our CEO, both personal and professional.
  • Collected all timesheets from each nurse on a weekly bases and submitted them to the hospital vendor for verification to ensure all nurses received their weekly pay on time.
  • Posted all jobs on our website and on Indeed.com and removed them when they had been filled.
