Brooke Lynn Madi Rodriguez

At my place of work, I teach a variety of classes such as jazz, tap, hip-hop, gymnastics, musical theater, contemporary, and jazz funk. I am a rehearsal teacher and choreographer at Sandra's School of Dance, and I have choreographed over 10 competitive routines in the last year and a half. I have also received various choreography awards in return. My skills at my place of work include:

• Organized and monitored rehearsals to ensure the quality of performances.
• Developed and implemented dance classes for students of all ages, levels and abilities.
• Instructed students in the basics of various dance styles, such as jazz, hip-hop, jazz funk, gymnastics, tap, and contemporary.
• Taught a variety of techniques, including stretching, leaps, turns, and jumps.
• Created choreography routines for soloists and groups based on specific themes or stories.
• Created a safe environment where students can learn without fear of criticism or judgment.

I currently am a team member on the UNM Lobo Dance Team. I have been a team member on this particular team for 2 years now. I have learned many new skills and styles on this team, including pom, sideline dance, precision jazz, and standing tumbling. Both years, I have made it past the cut round for competing at nationals and competed in all routines on the nationals floor. While being on this team, I have drilled many technical skills, such as turns, leaps, ariels, standing back tucks, and a la seconde turns. I also have drilled performance quality, while performing on the nationals floor, during football, volleyball, and basketball games. More skills include:

• Maintained proper technique and form while performing complex routines.
• Performed at various events, such as competitions, recitals, and shows.
• Collaborated with fellow dancers to create unique performance pieces.
• Demonstrated leadership skills by helping younger members learn the steps of a routine.
• Developed creative ideas for upcoming performances or events.
• Adhered to strict rehearsal schedules set by the coach.
• Learned new moves quickly from instruction given by coaches or teammates.
• Encouraged team spirit among members of the dance team.
• Motivated other dancers when morale was low during long rehearsals.
• Built and cultivated lasting professional relationships with other dancers, choreographers and performers by attending social events and maintaining communication.
• Learned choreography quickly and adapted to changes in choreography seamlessly by maintaining physical and mental flexibility.

While taking up this position of a dancer and as show coordinator I acted as the bridge between production and the dance cast for the show "La India Yuridia Show". While taking over this role I casted nine dancers, taught the choreography, staged the choreography, and organized rehearsals with all dancers. While also promoting Rexpic Agency on social media as well as the "La India Yuridia Show". Some of the tasks also done while in this position included:

• Scheduled and coordinated all show rehearsals, including booking of rehearsal space, equipment, and personnel.
• Created detailed timelines for each stage of the production process to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Negotiated contracts with vendors, performers, and other service providers related to shows.
• Organized media campaigns to promote upcoming shows in both print and online formats.
• Acted as a liaison between venue management and production teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
