Child psychology student balancing work and academic responsibilities. Flexible schedule weekdays year round.
Dedicated and energetic education student and professional with experience creating safe, engaging learning environments for elementary-aged students.
Skilled in classroom management, behavioral support, lesson planning, and building positive relationships with students, family and staff.
During my time at Lupin Hill Elementary, I worked with Camp Calabasas supporting elementary-aged students and was later promoted to lead my own classroom of first- and second-grade students. I managed daily classroom routines, planned engaging lessons and activities, and created an environment where students felt safe, supported, and encouraged to participate.
A large part of my role involved building strong relationships with students and their families. I communicated regularly with parents, teachers, staff, and school administrators about student progress, behavior, individual needs, and daily classroom operations. I provided both individual and small-group support for students with different learning styles and abilities and used positive classroom-management techniques when navigating challenging behaviors.
I also worked alongside school administrators to develop classroom expectations and management strategies, coordinated enrichment activities and field trips, and maintained responsibility for student safety and organization. This experience strengthened my leadership, communication, adaptability, and ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
At Blu Jam Cafe, I worked in a high-volume, fast-paced environment where strong customer service, communication, and teamwork were essential. I greeted and assisted guests, answered questions, handled customer concerns, processed cash and credit card transactions, and balanced multiple responsibilities while helping maintain smooth daily operations.
As I gained experience, I also helped train new team members on customer service expectations, workplace procedures, and day-to-day responsibilities. I worked closely with coworkers across the restaurant to improve efficiency and keep wait times manageable during busy periods.
I was recognized as Employee of the Month for my customer service, dedication, and contribution to creating a welcoming experience for guests. I also assisted with opening and closing procedures and learned how to stay organized, professional, and dependable even during especially busy shifts.
As a hostess at Dave & Buster's, I served as one of the first points of contact for guests in a busy, high-energy environment. I welcomed guests, managed reservations and seating arrangements, coordinated guest flow, and helped create an organized and welcoming front-of-house experience.
I regularly answered guest questions, addressed concerns, and worked to resolve issues calmly and professionally. I also processed cash and credit card payments, assisted with balancing cash drawers, and communicated closely with team members across different departments to keep service running efficiently and minimize guest wait times.
In addition to my regular responsibilities, I assisted with training new team members on customer service standards, workplace procedures, and daily operations. The role strengthened my ability to multitask, communicate clearly, work with a wide range of personalities, and remain composed in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.
