  • I got the opportunity to take out an Auxiliary Power Unit starter generator. I know how to start the APU. I also have had the opportunity to marshal aircraft and do brake rides. I was taught how to do transit checks and check for damage on the aircraft and where specifically to look. I learned how to do fan lubes and how to clean them. My instructor taught me how to do logbook work. A brand new Boeing 737 Max-8 came in and we had to make it Alaska’s standard. Which means I had to check the ozone levels in the water, put the seat labels in the overhead compartments, and put the lavatory labels on the doors. I learned how to do safety wire properly. I got to use the sheet metal shop to make signs for Alaska.
