Naval Architect - Structure Engineer December 2017 to November 2021

* Team member for multiple ship checks in San Diego CA, on USS Carl Vinson (CVN70), USS Making Island (LHD 8), USS Essex (LHD 2), to determine structure and foundation changes for removal of old and installation of new systems. April 2021 ship check included 21 days at sea on LHD 2

* Worked with group to set up travel arrangements and base access for ship checks in 2017 through 2019.

* Performed ship checks in Norfolk VA on USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), George H. W. Bush (CVN 77) to design and analyze ship structure changes for ship system modifications

* Interfaced with officers and crew for system modification preferences

* Helped with production of AutoCAD drawings and performed Finite Element Modeling and Postprocessing (FEMAP) for system changes on USS Wasp (LHD 1) and USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) to assure new foundations and structure fulfill engineering and shock requirements


Gryphon Fleet Support - August 2016 to March 2017

* Ship and air wing equipment support for Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk Air Station, Oceana Naval Air Station, and Little Creek Amphibious Base. Responsibilities included delivery of equipment prior to ship deployment and removal of equipment after ship return.

* Performed Chemical Biological Radiological (CBR) fit and test of gas masks and environmental suits for Navy and Marine officers and crew prior to overseas deployment. Fit tests performed at bases in Virginia, Maryland, and Nevada.

* Produced AutoCAD ship structure and foundation drawings for USS George Washington (CVN 73)

* Performed weight and moment calculations for removal and addition of ship structure on CVN 73
