• Hello, my name is Bryan Gomez. I am a team lead at Mizlala West Adams. I manage expo, run, prep, cashier, and make shakes. It's not just leading the front of the house when you're on expo. You are also leading the kitchen. My job is to keep track of all the food coming in. We've been rated top 50 restaurants on Grub Hub and Ubereats. There's a lot of pressure on the job. However, I've learned how to manage it. You need to know how to deal with the staff's and our customer's emotions. You also have to send food back if it doesn’t look right.The restaurant's reputation is on the line when you are on expo . That was probably one of the hardest things to adjust to because chefs don't like being told when they’re wrong. Secondly, I prep sauces and keep everything clean. I aim to move at all hours constantly I’m there and also keep everybody else moving. Thirdly, I run out the food. When you run, you have to deal with customers. When customers don’t like food, we must send it back to the kitchen and figure it out. When customers try to give us an attitude, we need to put a smile on our faces and continue doing our job while helping customers. My most significant accomplishments have been learning how to manage a busy restaurant. I overall have grown mentally and have changed. 2 years ago today. I was just some little kid in quarantine looking for an opportunity. Now Im much more polished and am happy to learn. I'm always ready to learn and seek learning. Now two years later, I’m looking for an even better opportunity that can correlate with my college hours. I am looking to get into the finance field in the future and would love to continue building my resume.

- I help manage my aunties apartments. We have to deal with tenants and clean up the properties . If anything goes wrong we have to fix it. If people vandalize we have to cover it. When people don’t wanna pay rent we have to remind them till it becomes a problem and legal action has to be taken.
