At basic american foods i have a lot of duties as a Mechanic such as doing preventative maintenance on machines to minimize down time. I also have to do emergency repairs and normal work such as changing motors,gearboxes,water pumps,belts, changing fuses, wiring in motors and vfds and troubleshooting machinery to find the root cause of the problem.I also work on the the packaging equipment they have here and do maintenance on there boiler systems and air units. I have to do emergency welds on stuff that breaks.

At lamb weston i was the lead packaging guy on my graveyard shift and my duties where to organize jobs to try and do them in a timely manner with my crew. I had a responsibility to be able to troubleshoot machinery from neumatic to electrical and mechanical components. I worked on replacing motors, gearboxes, vacuum pumps, different kinds of belts and different styles of air cylinders and any other packaging components like tapers and case printers and big machinery like robopac wrappers and other palletizing equipment. i also was in charge of welding anything that broke on my shift as well.

At national frozen foods i was a wet end mechanic so i worked on anything from motors, gearboxes,pumps,neumatic cylinders and hydraulic systems as well. I have worked on the boiler and refrigeration systems helping the refrigeration team with compressors and motors or finding ammonia leaks and isolating them. I have worked on steam peelers blancher's. I was also in charge of making sure the ladies on our cutter deck where in the right spots and supervise them so they would do the job correctly.
