As a Station Supervisor I drove and operated fire engines and trucks, leading crews during emergencies, operating pumps and hoses, performing rescue/medical aid, maintaining equipment and the fire station, blending technical driving skills with firefighting, mechanical upkeep, and community fire prevention duties . They are responsible for apparatus safety, effective deployment at scenes, crew supervision, and often handle minor repairs and upkeep of stations.

Key Responsibilities

• Emergency Response: Drive apparatus safely to emergencies, operate pumps, lay hose, direct water, and use specialized tools (saws, ventilation, rescue gear).
• Apparatus operations: Select optimal routes, position equipment at scenes, and ensure efficient operation of the engine's systems.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily checks, lubrication, cleaning, and minor mechanical repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Crew Leadership Lead and direct assigned firefighters in firefighting and rescue tasks and acting as a relief Captain.
• Medical Duties: Provide first aid, CPR, BLS and ALS care.
• Fire Prevention & Training: Conduct fire inspections, present public education programs, and participate in drills and training.
• Station & Facility Maintenance: general upkeep and repairs on fire stations and roads.
• Record Keeping Prepare reports on equipment, operations, and incidents.
