Director of Structural Steel Sales

Location: Utah Steel Headquarters (or as applicable)
Role Overview:
The Director of Structural Steel Sales leads the structural sales division, driving revenue
growth and market share through strategic planning, leadership, and business
development. This role ensures alignment of sales strategies with company objectives,
focusing on structural steel solutions in the manufacturing and construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sales Leadership
Develop and execute sales strategies for structural steel products, targeting key
industries and markets.
Establish sales goals, quotas, and performance metrics for the structural sales
team.
Analyze industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adjust
strategies.
2. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing structural sales team.
Set clear expectations, provide regular coaching, and ensure continuous
improvement.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and results.
3. Business Development & Market Expansion
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic
alliances.
Lead sales eƯorts for large, complex projects and key accounts.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
4. Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and
industry partners.
Resolve high-level client issues and negotiate complex contracts.
Ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
5. Sales Operations & Performance Management
Utilize CRM to manage sales reporting and ensure accurate forecasting.
Track sales performance metrics and KPIs, providing insights to senior leadership.
