I hired in with Georgia Pacific in the Pulp Mill and been in the Bleach Plant for almost 14 years. I hired in as a production utility and worked my way up the AB2 Operator position, which was operating the 70/30 and HY wash lines. As an AB2 Operator I had to monitor the wash lines and maintain production as well as comply with environmental expectations. I performed this job for the last 7 years before obtaining my Field Operator role. As a Field Operator, I have to perform manual tests in the bleach plant. I also make routine rounds checking equipment and making sure there is no mechanical issues within our operating process, I also perform weekly OBC rounds to help prevent unplanned downtime. I help build energy isolation guides on new equipment or equipment processes.
Currently I'm pulled out of the line to help with the New Lime Kiln Project. I have helped developed Energy Isolation Guides for the new Lime Kiln area . Also I'm currently helping create SOPs for the new equipment as long as updating the old SOPs and Energy Isolation Guides. Ive helped lead shutdowns and helped direct the work force at the CLO2 plant during Annual Outages.
