I had various roles thru my first 7 years with Kriz-Davis that all have helped me managed the process, employees and sales while understanding the importance of everyone’s role. These positions consisted of Warehouse, Counter Sales, Warehouse Manager, Contractor Purchasing Agent and Utility Purchasing Agent. As the Utility Purchasing Agent is where I developed the passion to work with the Utility sales team and customers.
After the acquisition in 2017 I moved back to the role of Branch Manager of our Wichita (259) location.
I was on the Board of Directors and on the ESOP Board for Kriz-Davis. My duties included but not limited to corporate sponsor for Utility managed inventory customers. Thru the process I have built strong relationships in the Kansas utility coop markets by represented the company Regional 7 CEO conferences and statewide annual meetings. Also, by attending NAAUD and AD national events has allowed me to established key vendor partnerships that still exists today.
When I started as division manager, Wichita had lost their largest customer in the ethanol business that consisted of 65% of the branches profit. We were able to establish the Utility market in Wichita that remains the strongest of all segments today and grew the Wichita branch to the most profitable branch by 2010.
During my time as the Utility Specialist for Salina we increased the utility sales over 400%. Some of that growth was due to establishing our first manager inventory for Kansas in 2004. I was on the committee assigned to develop this service and process. This customer was Rolling Hills that remains with us today in the form of a manned location.
