Proactive and dedicated, I quickly advanced from a helper to a utility role at Manchester Industries, mastering sheeter and rewinder operations while spearheading training for new hires. My strong work ethic and effective communication have been pivotal in enhancing workplace safety and efficiency.
Started as a helper and was the last direct hire. Shortly after my training we became temp-based hire and was the main trainer for new helpers for up to 4-5 at a time.
During any free time (when there was decent working helpers) I took the initiative to learn my first sheeter operation.
I did this within a few months a few hours a week. Once third shift began i became a second shift sheeter operator.
Four years later was offered to run the re-winder machine and came to first shift. I was running this on my own in two weeks.
During the down time (rewinder isn't always busy) I offered to learn the second sheeter machine so I can cover days off on both main sheeters during first shift.
This resulted in me becoming Utility. I also did training on the sheeters as well.
I would also like to add that previous to working for Manchester I worked for over ten years as a supervisor in the same place.
