  • My responsibilities as a laborer were to prep sites by way of laying tarps along the areas that were to be worked on, the removal of old shingles and rubber topping in the case of flat roof jobs, and install planks atop the roof for the sake of having a safe and well balanced platform to work on
  • Other responsibilities included removing the old nails from the roof and delivering all new materials needed to begin the installation of new shingles as well as the tools needed
  • (i.e
  • Bundles of shingles, hammers, nailguns, prybars, coils of nails, ladder placement and rolls of tar paper.) After the job was complete I would then begin cleaning up the areas and dispose of any garbage and/or debris left behind.

  • This included digging trenches along the exterior of a home or business until we reached basement level, breaking up concrete foundations in basements, removing/installing crocks and new piping, installing steel beams and/or wooden planks or joists if necessary and the mixing of the mud or mortar to be relaid in places where foundation was opened up
