Professional motorcycle road racing chassis technician for American Honda and Yamaha America Motor Corp from 2005 to present My position was to build and maintain top level 600cc and 1000cc Road Racing machines This included rebuilding chassis and suspension and Brake components, also designing and fabricating any specialty parts needed to gain a competitive edge on our competitors including Machining and welding these parts from scratch My past history with growing up in my Fathers shop and other specialty automotive shops building 4x4 vehicles and custom hot rods gave me an advantage over most chassis technicians and help me move up the ladder to lead position for every rider I was assigned to My Skills are varied, I can weld proficiently with a Mig- welder, Tig-welder and have over 40 years experience I have have never been certified in any form of welding because it was never required anywhere i have worked I am not a schooled Machinist but I can run a bridgeport Mill and manual Lathe and have some experience with CNC Mills and Lathes I am skilled with all pneumatic hand tools ( grinders, drills etc) and have used every other type of hand tool since age 12 I also have a lot of experience working with sheetmetal (Shearing,Braking,forming with English wheel, plenishing hammers, Kick Shrinker and Stretcher) I am very neat and organized in my work area or station and take a tremendous amount of pride in my work and in taking care of my or company equipment I can read blueprint and make mechanical drawings of conceptual components I've designed I take pride in being a team player in all that I do because of my experience as a shop forman and as a Racing team member I take pride in being punctual, working hard and setting a high standard for myself
