Network Set-Up

• Setup, installed and configured switches and routers in a lab area to provide connections to them.
• Put different networks on their own VLAN, and configured a pfSense firewall to block certain actions.
• Researched, quoted, and presented a technology upgrade for the Criminal Justice Academy at GSTC, reducing yearly costs and allowing for fluidity of functions.

Problem-Solving

• Used the tracert and ping commands to discover and repair a computer that was not communicating with a router, reducing downtime and smoothing workflow.
• Troubleshooted hardware on a server rack, replacing and reconfiguring different RAID drives in order to increase redundancy and availability.
• In a lab environment, used vulnerability tools to discover a potential SQL injection threat, and promptly used input validation to ensure all inputs were correct

Communication

• Collaborated with four classmates in order to build and present a basic network in order to explain it to higher-ups to represent our understanding of the knowledge.
• Multiple presentations throughout my educational career, providing practice in public speaking and professionalism.
