Work History

Prep and Line Cook

3 Years 7 Months
Hub41 & Brygge Taps and Tastes (same Owner) | 03.2023 - Current
  • Prepared various high-quality menu items ( Burgers, Sandwiches, Salads).
  • Worked efficiently with 2-3 coworkers to ensure food got out fast on busy summer days.
  • Managed inventory, keeping a healthy stock rotation ensuring nothing spoiled.
  • Trained new staff on the importance of preventing foodborne illness and keeping the workspace clean.

Working as a Line Cook taught me how to work fast with my hands while also keeping close attention to small details.

Terrain Park Attendant

3 Years 4 Months
Detroit Mountain Recreation Area | 11.2022 - 03.2026
  • Safety was my main concern. I inspected every feature to ensure all risk of injury was mitigated.
  • I drew up blueprints for every park build making sure there were features for all skill levels. Also making sure the features "Flowed" together in a way that kept everyone in their own line so that there were no collisions.
  • Helped remove and install new features on a bi-weekly basis, normally shoveling ice and snow for 6-8 hours.
  • I valued visitor feedback, often asking regulars what types of features they liked/disliked/wanted to see.
  • I ran a small social media account (@theropeatDM on instagram). Frequently posting updates to the terrain park and helping organize local competitions.

Working at Detroit Mountain taught me lots of skills but most importantly how to work long hours in the cold.
