I was the Pile buck/welder of a marine operating construction team. As Pile buck/welder I was tasked with making high priority welds daily, weld preparation, rigging pipe, bending, cutting, grinding, flange bolt ups, ship side support, building custom jigs and tools to see job to completion, operating heavy equipment to unload/load our barges with pipe and material, guide our vibrohammer as we would set and drill, operate and position our boats in accordance to pile layout and blueprints.
Lead welder and foreman of a footing pile driving crew. We handled two types of pilings. The first being auger pilings that were driven to depths from 20’-120', then cut 3”-24” above the grade of the footing, and then capped and welded so they were prepared for the concrete placement. Our second form of piling was Geothermal. They were filled with glycol and fit with a flange to bolt up to a large pump and then would be tied into the heating system of the building. We used tower cranes to assist in flying material to job site location.
