Summary

Accomplished, getting in the profession of welding at a young age. Consistently get recognized for achievements and performance in the welding industry. Innovative and successful ways in welding is learning different types of welding and positions there are in this profession. Fabrication is a partner to welding, it came by being able to repair what I build or break. Acquired that it’s not about just welding and fabricating, but also building relations, teams, and strategizing ways that best for the blueprints.

Work History

Welding Fabricator

Caterpillar
01.2023 - 10.2024
  • Improved structural integrity, performing critical welds on load-bearing components.
  • Conducted thorough inspections of welds to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Custom-built specialized welding fixtures to improve project efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensured precision in metal fabrication by accurately reading and interpreting blueprints and design plans. Because there are over 350 parts that goes on a frame.
  • Back gouging to fix and repair robot welds.
  • Using MIG, FLUX,TIG,TIG dressing.
  • More Overhead crane use from 100lbs to 60 tons. Moving frames, parts, and fixtures.
  • Large Mining Trucks models of (785-797)

Combo Welder

Rivian
03.2022 - 11.2022
  • Repaired skid boards , after it came out of the robot cell. Using pulse mig and grinders.
  • Prepared surfaces for welding by smoothing and removing debris to achieve proper adhesion and weld quality.
  • Enhanced productivity by implementing efficient welding techniques and processes.
  • Also helped with some millwright, by building new cells for the robot and production line.
  • Did some ironwork building the new battery department for Rivian.
  • From putting up Ibeams, bolting and welding them
  • Also repaired and fabricated doors with TIG process.

Fabrication Welder

Arcosa Wind Towers
04.2021 - 09.2021

  • Maintained safety by wearing protective equipment, staying alert and following procedures.
  • Bolted, clamped and tack-welded parts to secure components prior to welding.
  • Detected faulty operation of equipment and defective materials and promptly resolved issues.
  • Welded metal components in vertical, overhead and flat positions.
  • Set up track to use the BUGGO, to precisely cut out metal for where the 7ft by 4ft door would go.
  • Chipped away debris and thick crusts of rust, slag, and other materials to ready surfaces for welding.
  • Cut, grinded and bent edges of materials to be joined for snug fit using power grinders and hand tools.

Fabrication Welder

Caterpillar
05.2019 - 04.2021
  • Achieved consistent weld quality through careful preparation of materials and attention to detail during execution.
  • Advanced skills in various welding techniques including MIG, Pluse MIG,TIG,TIG dressing and FLUX.
  • Developed a strong understanding of blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication outcomes.
  • Enhanced workplace safety by adhering to strict safety guidelines and wearing appropriate protective gear.
  • Resolved weld-related problems by using the appropriate repair practices. From back gouging to using a grinder.
  • Used the overhead crane alot to get parts for the frame/ truck, and to also move frame.
  • Did various types of rigging to pick up parts and move frame, anywhere 200lbs to 50tons.
  • This for the large wheel loader line. (854K-995K)

Intern Welding Tech

Caterpillar
06.2018 - 05.2019
  • Supported staff members in their daily tasks, reducing workload burden and allowing for increased focus on higher-priority assignments.
