SSP.04 PBL Lesson Plan - Social Studies Interactive/Invention to fight Plastic Pollution, 03/01/23, I worked with two fellow MTSU teacher candidates on a Problem Based Learning social studies lesson plan. In this lesson, students researched and came up with an invention (mock or real-life) alongside their groups to combat the problem of plastic pollution. 4.ESS1 Science 3-Day Learning Segment - Earth's Place in the Universe: Weathering, Erosion, and Deposition, 11/01/23, This learning segment took place during my Residency I Placement. I taught the different types of landform changes and how they affect our Earth over the course of three days. These lessons were taught to fourth graders at Homer Pittard Campus School. I conducted a pre-test and post-test regarding this segment where my students showed growth in their Earth Science concepts by 26%. 3.NF.A.3 Math 3-Day Learning Segment - Identifying Equivalent Fractions and Fractions as a Whole Number, 02/01/24, I worked on this learning segment during my Residency II placement. These students completed a pre-test and post-test regarding their knowledge of fractions as whole numbers and identifying equivalent fractions with the intent of measuring progress. Three lessons were taught focusing on different objectives regarding that standard which was taught to third graders at Northfield Elementary School.
