As a former collegiate athlete, I understand the year-round grind and work ethic it takes to get what you want in life. Being a student-athlete has taught me how to be on a team with people from all different walks of life and cultures, with the end goal of being successful. Interning at a college's athletic department was an eye-opening experience; it taught me how important it is to be able to multitask, as well as to problem-solve on the fly when needed. Directing the PGC Summer Basketball Camp for the past five summers back home, as well as helping to run the camp at my alma mater, Davis & Elkins, has helped me learn to give instruction when needed and to be reliable to all the kids who were a part of the camps. All of the skills I've gained throughout are skills that are not only beneficial for me, but also beneficial within a team if needed.
