Power System Design

  • Designed the power distribution system for a 50 kW Laser System as part of the High Energy Laser Mobile Test Truck (HELMTT) program
  • System provided 225 kW of peak power via Lithium-Ion battery pack
  • The power system received 208 VAC 3-Phase power from an onboard generator and distributed it to water pumps, chiller, battery charger, and even the laser itself
  • Additionally, it generated both 24 and 275 VDC power for the various electronics.
  • Enhanced power system stability by implementing effective monitoring and control strategies.
  • Reduced operational risks by conducting thorough system analyses and identifying potential issues.

FPGA Design

  • Developed embedded security technologies utilizing Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA), System-On-Chip(SoC), and secure microcontrollers
  • Utilized Xilinx Virtex-II Pro, Virtex-5, Virtex-7, and Zynq FPGA/SoC
