I was born and raised on a horse farm in Kentucky. I am a good problem solver who is used to farming and the unpredictable nature which comes with the job. I am able to learn new skills quickly and can always get the job done. I am very comfortable with handling animals and am open to learning new skillsets.
I assisted with equine health care which included delivering foals, breeding mares, weanling preparation, sales preparation, yearling prep, and equine transportation. Other tasks under this job included landscaping maintenance, field maintenance, and pest/vermin control.
I performed tasks under the instructions of a veterinarian to help with time management and organization of information. These tasks included but were not limited to taking notes, taking blood samples, helping to administer medication, handling animals, filing out medical diaries, and driving.
I learned and assisted in the day to day life of some of the veterinarians at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. This included pregnancy checks, physical evaluations, ICU care, and any other work which was given to me.
I observed and worked at one of the largest Thoroughbred operations in Australia. During my time, I learned and assisted with stallion maintenance, pregnancy checks, foalings, racehorse evaluations, and paddock maintenance.
