My duties for shadowing the Dr. include assisting in surgeries, check-ups, and wellness exams as needed. Observing the Dr. and making notes on the diagnosis and plan of action for recovery. With Dr's advice, give vaccines, check for pregnancies, remove catheters.

Learned to lunge quarterhorses prior to rides.

Minimally ride western for warm ups if needed.

Maintained horses' welfare by showering and grooming

Saddle up/down to get rider prepared for the next riding session. Adhere to safety protocols and better understanding horses' demeanors to continue to work in a safe environment. Assist in maintaining clean facilities.

Safely moving thoroughbreds to different areas around ranch. Learned to lunge horses in round pen. Assisted with grooming/washing. In addition, made feed for am/pm for the dietary needs of different horses.

Worked in recovery room, made sure dogs and cats properly awakened after getting spayed/neutered.

Made sure cones and surgery room were cleaned and prepped for next surgery use. Took vitals after surgery.

Learned to groom and handle and cleaned stalls as needed. Assisted with making sure horses were fed.

Cleaned and sanitized cages and living areas to promote health and wellbeing. Kept animals healthy and socialized by providing regular exercises and walks. Provided companionship and comfort to animals in need of extra love and attention. Improved animal well-being by providing daily care, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
