- Provide support and quality primary nursing care to patients pre-, intra-, and post cardiac procedures for patients by explaining, educating, and reassuring patients throughout procedures
- Circulate during cardiac catheterization assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including: RHC, LHC, STEMI, pericardiocentesis, and myocardial biopsies
- Provide catheters, wires, stents, and other equipment to include transvenous pacing, Impella(RP and CP), IABP, IVUS, FFR/IFR, CSI, Rotoblator, Shockwave, Coronary Laser atherectomy as requested during cardiac/vascular procedures
- Assist with set-up in preparation for and circulate during structural heart procedures that included: TAVR/Basilica/Lampoon/Sesame procedures, aortic/ mitral valvuloplasty, alcohol septal ablation, ASD/PFO/peri-leak/aortic PVL closures, Mitral clip, Watchman insertions
- Assist with set-up in preparation for and circulate during complex cardiac and vascular interventional procedures that included: CTO, CLI, INARI embolectomy/thrombectomy and EKOS
- Provide conscious sedation and monitor patient to insuring hemodynamic stability
- Assist in emergency situations by initiating and/or assisting in procedures described by hospital policy including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, administration of required medications, defibrillation of life-threatening arrhythmias and maintaining proper documentation of emergency situations
- Serve as a liaison between the floor nurse and the cardiac catheterization lab personnel by reporting patient follow-up care, post catheterization/procedural orders, and any procedure complications
