I am a student at Blinn college working on my basics so that I can transfer to A&M where I plan to obtain a degree in visualization. However, for my degree plan, I am currently unable to take classes until the upcoming summer semester. With that being said, I have reliable transportation and my schedule is wide open. I am available to work opening, closing, and night shifts. The majority of my current work experience lies in cash handling, stocking, customer service, and efficiency in using POS systems. I am a very hardworking and capable person willing to learn and eager to grow into any job position. If I am unsure how to complete a task or I feel there may be a more efficient way of doing something I will take the time to ask questions. Additionally, while I work well alone and have no issues with motivation when unsupervised, I can be a social person and work well with a team.
- I was most recently employed as a part-time sales associate for Signet Jewelers, specifically at Zales the jewelry store, located in Post Oak Mall, College Station. At Zales, my primary responsibilities included warmly welcoming customers into the store and assisting them using my extensive product knowledge of the store to find and purchase jewelry. During each transaction, I informed eligible guests about Zale's credit application promotion and used the register to handle cash transactions to conclude the sale. I like to initiate and conclude each customer interaction with a firm handshake and engaging conversation aiming to ensure a seamless, memorable, and personalized shopping experience. Throughout my employment at Zales, I built many new relationships with customers and maintained a clientele list to send reminders, promotions, and to make appointments. While my coworkers and I had individual sales quotas, we often collaborated to help each other close sales or resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve the company's sales goals each month. Additionally, I excel in listening to customers' issues and adeptly resolving problems. This often involved actions such as calling our repair shop to track pending customer repairs or calling the jeweler to arrange the correction of a flawed jewelry repair. Lastly, as I progressed in my role, I assumed various administrative responsibilities, including issuing refunds, balancing cash registers during store closure, and personally handling the daily cash deposits at the bank. I quit working at Zales in December of 2023 to resume my focus on education.
-I worked as a front of house/kitchen team member at the Chick-Fil-A on Texas Ave. Being the busiest Chick-Fil-A location in College Station it allowed me to vastly improved my customer service and cash handling skills through constant customer interactions. During my employment at Chick-Fil-A I was responsible for a multitude of varying tasks each day. This often included cooking in the kitchen with the team, serving guests in the dining area, or handling the cash register during the busiest hours. perhaps the most useful skill I took from my employment at Chick-Fil-A was the knowledge and ability to resolved disputes between co-workers and guests with careful word choice and a calm attitude.
I eventually left this position to take a job at Zales for their schedule flexibility
- When I first started at Moving Beyond the Page it was a small startup company that consisted of a minimal team of warehouse workers. With my application interest being in stocking I was set to work alongside the company's lead stocker for my first three months until the lead stocker had to leave the company in pursuit of education. After his absence I was promoted into the lead stocker role for a brief period of time before I myself had to leave the position to start my first college semester at Blinn. my responsibilities during this time included the following:
-During my senior year of high school I worked as an activities associate for a retirement community/vacation area know as Holly Lake Ranch. Here I was responsible for cooking, cleaning, building maintenance, and above all else, ensuring vacationers had a personal and memorable experience. To do this, I set up and led outdoor games and activities such as giant genga, water balloon fights, volleyball, and basketball. I also led groups through miles of local walking trails and scenery. I eventually had to leave this job when I moved to College Station to begin my college education
-Working part time at the 19th hole restaurant I was responsible for cleaning dishes and cleaning utensils as well as occasionally helping set tables and cooking. Here I expanded on many skills including food preparation, sanitization, and cleanliness. I also furthered my experience in working with team members in the kitchen and coordinating with front of house staff.
-Working during the summer between high school years As a full time pool attendant for Holly Lake Ranch Association I checked guests in and out of the pool area as well as observed guests to ensure safety and regularly cleaned the pool.
-My very first job I worked part-time as a grocery clerk for Brookshires Grocery Co. During this time in my life I was heading into my freshmen year of High school. At Brookshires I was responsible for bagging and taking customers groceries out to their vehicle as well as stocking, cleaning, maintaining the parking lot, and occasionally using the cash register.
