- Use of bridge cranes, other hoisting devices and rigging equipment to move heavy machinery and equipment up to 200t and sometimes more.
- Aligned and leveled hydroelectric turbines (vertical, horizontal) using precision measuring instruments to avoid unnecessary wear and tear. This includes finding run out and true center for bearing alignments.
- Operated machine tools to fabricate parts during overhaul, maintenance, or rebuild of turbines
- Replaced defective parts and adjusted clearances and other alignments depending on e scope of work.
- Precision measuring and documenting of as found readings for reinstall depending on condition of a unit, and the determination of new parts.
- High level of cleaning and inspecting parts before they are put back into a unit. this would include filing, stoning, and polishing faces, flange surfaces to prevent unwanted space between sealing surfaces.
- Inserted shims, adjusted tension on nuts and bolts and positioned parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments with precision accuracy
