Driven and committed student. Very hard worker who will never leave a job half done. Very dedicated to continuous improvement in all aspects of life, from social skills, scholarly skills, and work skills as transition into that phase of life begins. Loves working in team settings and can easily get along with anyone. Open minded, willing to change, and very receptive to any feedback given.
I used to be a band member before coming to college. My instrument of choice was the saxophone. I don't play quite as much as I used to, but am beyond grateful for making the choice to learn to play many years ago.
In the summer of 2020, I decided I wanted to learn a foreign language. I decided on Japanese and spent about two years religiously studying in my own time, with the intention of spending a portion of time in Japan after graduation. My priorities eventually changed, but my choice to learn this language made me a better person in many ways. On top of the large amount of vocab and grammar I studied over this period of time, it also vastly improved my studying skills, and taught me to be more open minded and accepting of people with different beliefs than me. I would not be the person I am today if I had not made this choice. I still hope to spend time in Japan someday.
