I am an enthusiastic Student Athlete dedicated to pursuing goals, promoting team player mentality, and performing well under pressure. I have extensive experience in leadership positions and working with teams. I am committed to helping others through effective time management, honesty, and leading by example.
I was selected to be one of the captains of the Colorado School of Mines Men's Soccer team at the beginning of my 3rd year in college. Having transferred in from a junior college after my freshman season, this achievement required me to really integrate with the team and earn the respect of my teammates and coaches.
Across several different sessions, I observed a wide variety of surgeries performed at Casper Orthopedics performed by Dr. Robert Allaire. I also got to see patient-provider interactions firsthand. From the same practice, I interviewed Dr. Eric Linford to learn more about the profession of orthopedic surgeon and his lifestyle.
I help to prepare meals in the kitchen at the Wyoming Rescue Mission. I also help serve on the line when meals are being distributed to people.
Top Soccer is a program for children with disabilities to play soccer. I served as a coach/mentor for the children, played games with them, and supported them throughout each session.
I spent one season at NJCAA division I member Casper College as part of the men's soccer program. My team made it to the regional semifinal and I earned All Region Honors as a goalkeeper. I frequently staged extra training sessions with my teammates to drive the team forward.
I have had to learn to balance the rigorous academic requirements of Mines with the demanding training, playing, and travelling schedule with the soccer team. I also routinely put in extra work in the gym and on the field, both alone and with teammates.
I attended student council meetings every week once I joined except when I was out of town for sporting events. I also attended the Wyoming Association of Student Councils (WASC) conference as a representative from my school. As a council we organized dances, created initiatives, and led fundraising campaigns.
I played for four years on the varsity team, earning All Conference Honors three times and All State Honors twice. I started in goal for two conference champion teams and two 3rd place state championship teams.
I was a three year starter for Kelly Walsh Basketball. I was an integral part of both a conference champion team and a 3rd place state championship team.
I work to help run both youth camps and college ID camps for high school players. I am directly involved in instructing players and giving them tips, running drills, and setting up and taking down gear.
