Driven by a cause to work diligently to leave a nice impact of how well our school treats our valued visitors and opinions.
Since I have participated in sports at Portage Northern, help was needed all the time with things like, grounds keeping, cleaning of locker rooms, and help with upkeep of our equipment. I then volunteered at a concessions stand, I was responsible for taking customer orders and fulfilling them. I then helped clean the locker rooms, I was put on broom duty to help clear out the area full of turf.
I have swam for most of my life, around 7-8 years. I swam for the club team named Crocs, I then changed to SWYS, the local YMCA's team. I now swim for my school. As for water polo, it's my first year. I'm excited to learn how to play the game of water polo. I began working out during Covid-19, and it's a hobby that I just stuck with. Finally, my years of French class. I decided to take French because everyone else wanted to do Spanish, and because I was just interested about its culture and past. My first year of French took place when our school was online, and I discovered that I learn better face to face. My second year of French went all right. We were semi face to face, but we were stuck in a room while also in a Google meet with our teacher. My third and final year of French I thought it was going to be fun and exciting. It was, but it was so incredibly difficult. These hobbies are challenging and fun at the same time, and teach me skills I will use in the work force and beyond.
