  • Utilizes communication skills with patients, managers, nurses, and doctors via in person, phone, and email, on a daily basis. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist I talk to both patients and health care providers daily about a wide variety of issues ranging from directions to rooms to how our facility conducts certain tests and their confirmatory reflex tests to reporting time sensitive critical results that may change a patient's healthcare plan.
  • Developed and refined general lab techniques including: micro pipetting, aseptic technique, staining, titrating, calibration of glassware and the use of an oil immersion light microscope, in various labs during my undergraduate degree. As well as research work with common BSL I & II organisms such as E. coli, S. epidermidis, B. megaterium, MRSA, P. aeruginosa, S. pyogenes, etc.
