Pursuing a job in the Hospital at sixteen with no previous job experience was challenging. This responsibility was nothing I’d ever encountered before. Sure, cleaning beds and changing linens was an everyday thing for me already at home, but encountering three hundred-plus people daily for no more than thirty minutes was a new level of exposure. It came with patients needing hip replacements, knee replacements, coronary artery bypass grafts, etc. All of the circumstances patients had, reminded me of how lucky I am to be walking perfectly fine without feeling my bones shredded together because of cartilage. I am blessed to be able to help others who come to HCA because it fills me with joy knowing that just doing the little things for the Hospital, is a vital importance to the patients.

• May 29th- August 1st worked a total of 255+ hours in Pre-Op and PACU
• Observed my first ever surgery at the age of Six-Teen and it was a Hip Replacment
