In this role, I will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fast-paced unit. As an NST, I am responsible for assisting the professional caregiver in delivering patient care, transporting patients and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining rooms, reordering, and stocking supplies. Additionally, I will maintain unit desk area functions such as answering phones, processing admissions, discharging, and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts, and ordering tests. Moreover, I am proficient in using EPIC software for patient charting, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation of patient information.
