• Record medical histories
• Prepare and administer vaccines
• Calculate and administer injectable medications (intramuscular, intravenous, subcutaneous)
• Draw blood samples (jugular, cephalic, saphenous) on dogs and cats
• Administer subcutaneous fluids
• Take radiographs
• Obtain samples for cytology
• Triage emergencies
• Assist with humane euthanasia

Assist with surgeries

• Intravenous catheterization
• Endotracheal intubation
• Monitor patient vital signs under anesthesia
• Post op laser therapy
• Post op patient care
• Wrap surgery packs and gowns
• Operate sonicator and autoclave
• Discharge hospitalized and post op patients

Receptionist

• Answer phones
• Triage phone calls
• Schedule appointments
• Check clients in/out
• Process payments

Laboratory/pharmacy technician

• Performing in house blood tests
• Prepare samples to send to outside laboratory (Idexx)
• Contact owners to explain laboratory test results and treatment
• Fill medications as directed by the veterinarian
• Discuss medication instructions with clients

• Maintain cleanliness
• Trash collection and disposal
• Sanitize door handles, tables, chairs, computer keyboards, other touchable surfaces
• Sweep, dust mop, mop, vacuum
• Daily thorough cleaning of bathrooms
• Daily thorough cleaning of classrooms

• Assist in food preparation, delivery, and clean up
• Provide clean water for mammals, birds, and reptiles
• Clean enclosures and tanks
• Monitor general animal health
• Facilitate safe and positive interactions between guests and animals
• Educate guests on each animal's demographics and behaviors
• Guide snorkeling expeditions in the shark and ray tank

• Provide food and water for horses
• Turn horses in and out from pasture
• Maintain cleanliness of stalls, barns, and pastures
• Monitor general horse health
• Educating visitors on horse behavior, health, and the facility
• Assist in horse shows as needed
