- Prepare and present communications to team when requested
- Performs all day-to-day activities related to the credentialing and recredentialing of facility providers
- Responsible for processing a high volume of privilege requests from: Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Allied Health, to include, but no limited to: evaluation of privileging request, initial, appointment, reappointment, and expirations for all medical staff
- Ensures compliance with regulatory bodies (Joint Commission, NCQA, DNV, TCJ, and CMS, federal and state), as well as Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, policies and procedures, and delegated contracts.
- Evaluate credentialing/privileging requests and evidence of education, training, and experience to determine eligibility for requested privileges, and/or membership
- Reviews and manages practitioner files for content and completeness and to identify potentially adverse information in accordance with guidelines established by the Medical Staff Bylaws.
- Offers high level of assistance during managed care auditing process and conducted internal file audits.
- Facilitates, maintains and presents all credentialing items pertaining to Texas Tech Health Science Center to the MPIP Committee.
- Assists in other office activities such as: creating lean workflows, updating and maintaining privilege forms, updating policies and procedures, and preparing reports related to provider data and credentialing activities.
