Program Manager and Scheduling Coordinator

  • Starting as a direct care support specialist, I provided care for adults with mental and physical disabilities. I helped these individuals maintain and achieve greater daily living skills in hopes of becoming as independent as possible. Assisted with medications, personal hygiene, and making and achieving monthly goals.
  • After a year of direct care, I became a House Manager, where I lead team meetings each week, and provided oversight and retraining on all care routines for our clients. Provided a safe place for staff to address any issues or concerns. Responsible for all scheduling duties for the household.
  • In 2022 I got promoted to Client Services and Scheduling Program Manager. I learned to write individual-specific plans for all 10 of our clients, which assessed their level of risk factors and the level of care needed to support each individual.
  • Interacted with residents' guardians on a continuous basis, keeping communication lines open and addressing concerns swiftly.
  • Participated in investigations regarding injuries and allegations of abuse, misconduct and discrimination and provided honest, thorough information.
  • Activity coordinating for the clients, researching and scheduling activities that would accommodate individuals with disabilities, which required extensive planning and thorough back up plans if anything were to go amiss.
  • Took over scheduling for all staff for the vancouver branch, in charge of entering PTO, fixing missed clock outs on quick books, covering and documenting all call outs and no shows, as well as performed write ups when necessary.
  • Conducted 2 or 8 hour continuing education classes for senior staff and new hires, following a DDA template.
  • Lead team meeting for the vancouver branch once a week for each household. Retraining on company polices, medication management, and expectations of community inclusion for all clients.
