Allegheny National Forest

• Surveyed timber stands that are to be cut in the future
• Surveyed 107 stands and 1,833 acres in the Upper Mill project area in Kane, PA
• 19 stands and 445 acres in the Hemlock Run project area in Bradford, PA
• Surveyed different vegetation and animal habitats to see if the stand could be cut, or if it had to be protected
• Analyzed environmental conditions affecting plants and animals
• Collected specimens, handled testing and analyzed results
• Conducted research into habitat and conditions of animals in wild
• Conducted field surveys to assess local biodiversity and habitat conditions
