I was a paraprofessional for 11 years at a school for children and adults with autism. I worked together with a teacher in all different age groups ranging from the age of 3 to 35. I implemented the strategies given by the teacher to help children and adults succeed on all different levels. I am trained to use AAC devices with different programs. For 5 years I ran my own classroom with a teacher overseeing me. I had 5 nonverbal adults in my classroom. I was trained in PCM for 16 years and helped others de escalate behaviors.
