I have grown up with General Baptists as my heritage I am the 8th generation of GB ministers in my family. The Lord saved me at the tender age of five and called me to the ministry at the age of eighteen. I have been blessed to be the pastor of three churches in 20+ years of ministry. Ordained by the Wolf Bayou Presbytery where I have served as clerk and sit on the credentials committee. My philosophy of ministry is summed up in three points: First, Glorify God; Second, Edify the Saint, and Third, Evangelize the sinner.
I am married to Sarah Decker for almost fifteen years. We have four beautiful children ( 3 boys and 1 girl); Shiloh -10yrs, Sawyer - 5yrs, Samuel - 2yrs, and Finley - 7 months. I was 18 when I answered the Lord's call to ministry and been preaching ever since; 24 years!
My prayer for the pulpit committee is:
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
