ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
- Tree and Shrub Identification at Mt. Hood Community College
- In this course we worked with our instructor Pualani Derman to collect, identify, and explore all different kinds of species that we found in the field. We also created our own individual herbariums that included angiosperms and gymnosperms. Other similar courses taken have been Intro to Natural Resources, Forest Botany, Wilderness Survival, Wildland Fire, and Intro to Forest Soils.

- In Wilderness Survival we worked with our instructor Matthew Zavortink to learn how to use a GPS, how to read maps, build shelters, CPR/First Aid, search and rescue, etc.
