Manage the fixed asset function for the Americas and Corporate. Includes supporting users during the capital request process, reviewing all capital requests, reviewing monthly CIP balances with project managers, maintaining the asset register, calculating monthly book depreciation and annual tax depreciation, presenting monthly CAPEX variance and depreciation trend, performing multiple monthly reconciliations of fixed asset accounts, organizing and performing annual asset inventory counts and quarterly impairment reviews, creating and maintaining DAS reports, performing JDE and SharePoint database enhancement testing, providing documentation for audit requests, as well as supplying reporting for tax, treasury, government, and other ad-hoc requests.
Manage the monthly CAPEX and quarterly depreciation forecast and assist in budget setting for the Americas. Includes creating and maintaining JDE projections, DAS reports and Power Queries to get and transform data in Excel, as well as the monthly review of actuals, accruals, open POs, pending contracts, and discussions with project managers on additional non-committed cost and estimated in-service dates.
Serve as the OneStream super user for the Americas region. Includes day-to-day troubleshooting of user issues, setting up and training new users, entering and validating requests for new metadata and transformation rules, monthly reconciliation of data to JDE, managing monthly top-side adjustment workbooks, monthly entry of form data, ad-hoc reporting and analysis, user security reviews, and assisting with implementation of new enhancements.
Served as the SME for the Americas during the implementation of OneStream software. Included analysis and mapping of JDE financial data, reconciling data between JDE and OneStream, performing rigorous testing, as well as researching any questions my team or the consultants had.
Performed quarterly abstraction of leases into the leasing software, calculated and maintained straight-line rent for leased real-estate, and reconciled rent expense between the leasing software and JDE.
Collaborated with HR and Payroll departments and designed a user friendly Personnel Action Form in Excel that allowed any employee to easily fill out a form for new hires, pay increases, transfers, terminations, etc. The form utilized multiple VBA scripts that would convert the form to PDF, name and save the form, attach the form to an email, load the required recipients into the To/cc fields based on multiple criteria (check boxes, business unit, operating system), and cleanup the temporary files created during the process. This form also had a "How To", "FAQ", and training videos published.
Led presentations and collaborated with a large number of others in the Accounting department to analyze all general ledger activity across the Americas in order to consolidate similar object accounts being used by different companies. Documented all required changes and worked with Accounting and Purchasing directors to update the required items in JDE. This initiative reduced the number of different object accounts used in JDE by more than 50%.
Serve as back-up for Concur software support and report approval when the Travel Benefits Administrator is on vacation,
