Caleb Hoffmann

I started as a part-time employee then received a full-time position. Eventually, I was promoted to an assistant manager. My responsibilities included:

• Opening and closing the store while ensuring that all service departments and registers were staffed at all times.
• Helped train new employees on store policies, operational procedures, and product placement.
• Assisted in training and giving advice to department heads on how to clean, detail, and inventory their department while running a department myself.
• Organized and managed the warehouse while overseeing the unloading of trailers every week.
• Ensured that merchandise was clean and presentable and that routine maintenance was done when closing.
• Provided service to customers, addressed their concerns, and at times would settle disputes between them and employees.
• Addressed security concerns and would work to deter shoplifting. When such incidents occurred, I would write and submit a report to Loss Prevention, and would often contact the police in order to have the shoplifters trespassed and/or charged.
• On occasion, I would be called to go assist other stores in the district with opening, closing, store projects, and/or store inventories. Most stores were in Northern Colorado but some were in Wyoming and Nebraska as well.
• Helped train new assistant managers in all things, while maintaining good relations with my co-manager, store manager, and district manager.

While in high school, I worked for my uncle's lawn service which operated in Longmont and the surrounding area. I became very familiar with the city and learned how to work in a fast-paced environment. My responsibilities included:

• Operating and maintaining lawn mowing equipment for optimal performance.
• Inspecting lawns after mowing to ensure quality standards were met consistently.
• Providing other services such as aerations, fertilizing, and clean ups.

• 3.754 GPA
• Completed AP courses in Calculus, US History, US Government, English Language and Composition, English Literature, and Environmental Science.
